Adriano La Licata (b. 1989 in Palermo, IT), studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Palermo and The University of the Basque Country in Bilbao, Spain. In 2016 he earned the Master of Fine Art from AKV|St.Joost in ’s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands.His work takes shape as photographs, sculptures and performances. Charged with a playful and anarchist attitude, it embraces the viewer with an absurd outcome in which the order of the everyday is undermined and absurdities are revealed. The work transforms matter into spirit, presence into absence, and moves from concrete to magic. The soul destroys rationality and finally, Adriano achieves a position of being both creator and creation. He becomes a swimming pool of fun and fear. It’s precisely in this space, between the hell he has inside and the bright project that is ahead, that the creative act comes to light. Francisco Vazquez Murillo(born 1980 in Rosario, Argentina) holds a PhD in Philosophy, Universidad Nacional de Rosario. He lives in Buenos Aires since 2005. He was part of the 2016th Artist programme of the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella and awarded with the FNA – CONTI grant in 2015, in Argentina. “My most recent artworks explore the relation between landscape and nature as a fundamental premise, and also generate the possibility of measuring and represent the landscape in relation to us as individuals, and not as media-controlled society. I have worked in some remote and physically hard to reach areas, that in a way represent the idea of a primal Earth. Landscapes, with no human traces at all. I often filmed, sketched and walked on that places.Im interested on the presence of the human body thats allows to recoup the forgotten link of the flesh with the land, and at the same time brings to mind the scale of men and human body in relation to the topograhy. I often work with installations that includes different materials such as video, objects, paints: in order to create a physical relation between the artwork and the spectator body.”(http://
Alice Guareschi (born in 1976 in Parma, IT) holds a master’s degree in philosophy from the University of Bologna, and currently lives and works in Milan. Previous residencies include Palais de Tokyo’s Le Pavillon in Paris, Triangle Workshop in NYC and Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. In 2008 she was awarded with the Young Italian Art’s Grant promoted by the Castello di Rivoli Contemporary Art Museum in Turin. Her work includes a wide range of media such as video, sculpture, printed matter and writing, and it’s somehow always dominated by language, no matter if this is written, recorded, or it takes the shape of a silent object standing in space. Semna van Ooy is triggered by movement, real and seemingly, sequences and stills, in film, photography and works of art. The installations and drawings of van Ooy arise from clashes, hitches and sheer chance during the making. It is a matter of acting, looking and reacting. She’s using the technique of collage and is in search of the accidental find as bycatch, by creating the optimal conditions that allow it to happen. What she is aiming at with her work is the tension between devised construction and chance. During the making it is all about questions as: how much space you give to chance, when and how do you intervene. Mistakes, correction and even failure are part of the game. From failure arise new combinations and unexpected connections.
